THE NEW CIVIL WAR

THE NEW CIVIL WAR

BY KENNETH NADDEO

Like the first Civil War fought in the United States the future direction of the country and the freedoms of its citizens hang on the outcome. The battle lines have been drawn, sides have been chosen, with two very distinct ideologies taking center stage. The commanders and their second in command have been chosen both with legions of followers. But unlike the first war this one will not be fought with guns and cannons on battle fields with horrendous lose of life. In stead it will be fought on center stage, in the media, the weapons being speeches and promises of a new future.

On the one side are the super liberals lead by Senator Barack Hussein Obama and Senator Joseph Biden with their promise of Hope and Change. On the other side are the conservatives, lead by Senator John McCain and Governor Sara Palin with the promise of real leadership. America is in a desperate moment in time. The economy is in trouble, we are paying billions of dollars for oil to countries that hate us, people are losing their jobs and homes, and many cannot afford health care, food and utilities are climbing in price, all the while our faith in our government is being challenged like never before.

Senator Obama wants to be the commander in chief of the greatest nation in the world but has never had to make command decisions, does not understand that the American way of life is under attack by radical Islam, won’t even talk to or acknowledge the men and women in uniform that defend his rights and freedoms, is more concerned about a terrorists rights than protecting the American people from attack, he does not know when life begins which makes me wonder if that means that life has no value and can be ended at will. He promises health care for all, but he does not tell you that his health plan will be mandatory, cost billions of dollars and force many businesses to close down or go off shore costing millions of jobs. And if you choose to go without you will pay a heavy penalty. His plan for foreign oil independence is to wait for alternative fuels and power generation to be developed, though no one knows when this will happen. He has no plan to ease the burden foreign oil has on the American economy and the people; in fact he does not want us to drill for more oil, or build new refineries, stating that this will not solve the problem.

Really?

I guess he does not know or care that in the 70’s we faced a similar problem with the rapid rise of the cost of oil, then suddenly, with the mere announcement of the opening of the north slope the price of oil fell dramatically, no, more drilling here will not solve the problem but it will buy us the time we need to bring alternative sources of fuel and power on line, and save us billions of dollars in the process, not to mention the boost to the economy.

He wants us to believe he will create change for the better but chooses a Vice Presidential running mate that is an entrenched liberal in the Senate. Senator Biden also does not understand the war on terrorism or the threat to the American people. Both of them hope that the change will be that Democrats will have a total command of both the house and senate, the white house and have a liberal supreme court that does not rule based on the constitution but on liberal beliefs.

Neither one of these men have ever had to put their lives on the line for any reason let alone their country or fellow citizens. Both argued and voted against the surge of troops in Iraq and wanted to withdraw in defeat and humility, forget that we were and are winning to the extent that our troops will soon be coming home victorious with honor. Their foreign diplomacy is, peace no matter the cost, without honor, have Israel live with a nuclear Iran, a country that has vowed to destroy Israel, every leader in the world that hates the U.S. has stated that they want Barack Hussein Obama to become President, his personal friends include former terrorists from the Black Panthers and Weather Underground, radical preachers and the leader of the Islamic movement in the United States.

If they win in November, we the people lose, we lose our sovereignty, we lose our freedoms, our honor, and our place as the leader and protector of the free world. In short we will become a second rate nation from which there will be no recovery.

Senator John McCain has chosen as his running mate and second in command Governor Sarah Palin, who until now was little known outside of Alaska. Unlike the Obamas’ both have always been proud of America and being Americans. Both are true patriots that support our troops, believe in a cause greater than self and the creativity and resourcefulness of the American people. Both understand the horrors of war and desire to avoid unnecessary conflicts, but when called upon, to provide our troops with every means possible to achieve decisive victory. They both understand that America is under attack from within our borders and from without by radical Islam. That we have an enemy that must be defeated before we lose everything.

By choosing Palin to be his second in command McCain shows us how truly brilliant he is and his sincerity to change the way things are done in Washington. Both during their respective terms in public office have bucked what was popular in favor of what was right. Their plan is straight forward, save America, save the economy, save and create jobs here not abroad, end our reliance on foreign oil now, not some unknown time in the future, and provide affordable health insurance for all Americans.

Senator McCain knows what it is like to lead when lives are on the line, he understands that 911 was merely the beginning of a war that we must win. That to insure peace you must be willing to fight, and die if necessary. That a nuclear Iran would create havoc around the world not just for Israel.

Senator McCain and Governor Palin have a plan to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil, to drill now, create more refineries and in the process lower the burden on our economy while creating needed jobs and relief at the pump, like we did in the 70’s. At the same time proceed at top speed to create alternative sources of power and fuel that will not bankrupt our economy or food supply.

They plan to provide the American people real affordable health insurance, and the means to pay for it, not mandated insurance and the controls that go with it. To relieve Americans from the burden of a tax system that discourages savings and investment, and creating incentives to encourage new businesses, expanding existing businesses and creating desperately needed jobs here.

For me the choice is simple, a real proven leader and second in command not afraid to fight for freedom and right.

That choice is Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin.

WE THE PEOPLE

WE THE PEOPLE

BY

KENNETH NADDEO

Is there anyone else out there that is tired of listening to the same promises and lies from our elected officials?

Today our country is in serious trouble and we are out of time to correct it. Our supreme court now almost at will rewrites the constitution based on some obscure theory of a living constitution, what a crock.

Our constitution and the Christian beliefs that our founders relied on are what has made us a great nation. Have we always done the right thing in foreign affairs? No. Have we always done the right thing with respect of treatment of all of our citizens? No. Have we been wrong at least as many times as we have been right? Yes. Do we need to make a drastic change in the way things are done, here and abroad? Yes.

But where to start? Here is what I would do if running for President right now.

1st thing in the next debate I would take over and tell it like it is and lay out the facts,
I would not refer to, my friends but:

WE THE PEOPLE

WE THE PEOPLE need to take control over our lives, WE THE PEOPLE need to recall all of our elected officials and fire them for lying to us, for giving us a raw deal, for serving their self interests over those of WE THE PEOPLE, they caused this crises and WE THE PEOPLE must fix it. Public service was never meant to be a career with retirement benefits. There needs to be term limits on all political offices. Eliminate the retirement plan for all politicians. Send all the lobbyists home to find some other form of work that does not cost WE THE PEOPLE. WE THE PEOPLE need to take control of our natural resources and get to work providing the energy we need now, we need to buy us the time for newer technologies to come on line and not go broke in the process.

The President should not have to get the approval of congress for appointments to the cabinet. It’s the president’s advisers not congress they don’t get a say. As President I would roll back all laws passed in the last 50 years, and submit new laws to the constitution as written. If WE THE PEOPLE want a law that goes against the written constitution then WE THE PEOPLE need to call for an amendment to the constitution, not a law imposed by a court.

Also WE THE PEOPLE need to make it known that anyone living in the United States that does not love the country, the flag, support our armed forces, or like the words UNDER GOD need to leave, get the heck out. These are the things that made us great in spite of all our faults. We are made up of many diverse cultures that have come together and united as WE THE PEOPLE.

WE THE PEOPLE need to demand an end to the tax system forced upon us and have it replaced with a simple consumption tax so everyone pays based on spending not on income. This alone would eliminate the national debt in just a few years and create more jobs here than you can imagine.

WE THE PEOPLE need to call an end to the abuses of the welfare system. This was meant to help in times of need not to become a way of life. We need to help these people get jobs that make since and can support them and their families. If they refuse then they are dropped from the roles, those that refuse to work for their fair share, are a burden and financial and emotional drain on those of us that do our part.

WE THE PEOPLE can create a workable and affordable healthcare system without the government being involved taking half the money for administrative costs.

WE THE PEOPLE need to see to it that our elderly, infirm, and our veterans are taken care of. That those that have worked all their lives can retire in dignity and not have to worry about the cost of their healthcare.

WE THE PEOPLE need to get back to what works and works great.

WE THE PEOPLE have the power to change things, this is our right, our heritage, and like our founding fathers we must no longer allow the few to rule WE THE PEOPLE like mindless sheep.
